Our Black Bear is – well black ! although despite their name they can be light brown, blond or even grey-blue. There is also sub species of black bear with white fur known as the Kermode or spirit bear lives in British Columbia. They mostly eat grasses, herbs, and fruit but will sometimes eat other food like fish. The black bear’s coat has lots of layers of shaggy fur which keep it warm in the cold winter months during hibernation but our black bear has no intention of sleeping – he’s ready to party with his other teddy friends who make up our build your own bear party packs.
