Raise funds with Marvellous Marvin
January 7, 2022 Be My Bear
Did you know we teamed up with the Roald Dahl children’s charity to create a crabcrunching, crodsquinkling crocodile to help boost fundraising efforts.
His widow Felicity set up the charity in memory of Roald Dahl who created his own Gobblefunk language using made-up words which feature in all his well-loved children’s books.
We spent a year working with the Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity to create their very own bespoke Marvellous Marvin, the character from the charity’s logo and we donate 10 per cent from each Marvin sale to the charity which helps thousands of seriously ill children every year in the UK.
Build your own Marvin as part of a Roald Dahl themed event - you could run a Make A Marvin party or fundraiser where evry child builds their very own animal. Include party games for extra fun (see link below) featuring some of his best loved characters from the Fantastic Mr Fox to Mugglewump the Monkey and the Dirty Beasts.
In 2016 the Roald Dahl organisation encouraged fans to celebrate 100 years since the author’s birth and put together oodles of ideas inside a pack to help people throw splendiferous parties. Everything was themed from party food such as snozcumber sandwiches (cream cheese and cucumber) and Bruce Bogtrotter’s chocolate cake to George’s Marvellous Medicine activity sheets, the BFG’s dream jar game and colour-in bunting, placemats and hats.
Paste the link below into your browser to access all the free materials with everything you need to run your own Dahl-icious party or fundraiser. We’d love to hear about any of your delumptious ideas on running the best event on the block.
