Elephant 8" Animal Kit

Each Kit Contains 1 x empty teddy, a bag of RECYCLED stuffing, wishing charm, birth certificate and carry home bag. Our little Elephant hails from the Kruger National Park in South Africa and is an African Bush Elephant with beautiful grey skin and blue eyes. Elephant is a member of the eight inch range of build anywhere animals from Be My Bear. Elephant likes nothing better than bathing in the rivers of the Kruger National Park and playing with the herd.

Did you know that the African bush elephant is also known as the African savanna elephant and it is the larger of the two species of African elephants. Unfortunately because of poaching the African bush elephant is on endangered species list. The good news however is that populations of this elephant in Southern Africa are thought to be increasing at 4% per annum.

Despite its large size, the African bush elephant is a herbivorous mammal meaning that it eats a diet consisting of plants only. They like to munch their way through leaves and branches from trees and use their trunks to eat. Some of their favourite food includes fruit from the National Park.
