Our little White Twist bear has lovely twisted locks of cream fur and is a Kermode Bear from the British Columbia in Canada. Kermode bears are also known as Spirit Bears with one-tenth of the population having white or cream-coloured coats like White Twist. White Twist is a member of the eight inch range of build anywhere animals from Be My Bear. White Twist likes nothing more than catching salmon in the rivers of British Columbia.
Did you know that during the day-time, white/cream bears are 35% more successful than black bears in capturing salmon? Also most of the year Kermode bears feast on herbage and berries, but in the autumn during salmon migrations, these bears can't resist a spot of fishing.
The Kermode bear was named after the former director of the Royal British Columbia Museum, Frank Kermode who spent time researching the subspecies.
